As the Warehouse Manager's eyes and ears, you'll oversee our teams of Selectors to make sure we meet our ambitious targets.

In this busy, varied role you'll tackle plenty of challenges. This includes authorising the order in which deliveries are picked, and controlling stock rotation. We're investing in brilliant new distribution centres and first-class equipment. So you'll have everything you need to keep things moving efficiently. We do things our own way at Aldi. But whatever we're doing, we must be getting it right. With a wave of impressive sales figures behind us, we're opening new stores at lightning speed. And without the great teams at our warehouses, there'd be no products in those stores.

Please note, the salary displayed is based on a 45 hours per week contract. Aldi are able to also offer 40 hour contracts and in these instances, the salary offered would be pro-rated.

Reporting to the Inbound Warehouse Manager, this role will be responsible for managing efficient product flow through an automated distribution centre ensuring efficient and smooth product flow. An Inbound Section Leader’s role is about maximising efficiency, optimising productivity and engaging a high performing team. You’ll manage a team of Deputies, Selectors and Logistic Assistants. Under your guidance, the team will be focused and ready to tackle every challenge.

**Location: Bardon - Prior to the opening of Bardon, the role will be based within National Supply Chain at Atherstone National Head Office**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Managing day to day running of the team, including carrying out regular team meetings and 1:1s with all team members
- Monitoring the quality and velocity of work produced by the team
- Responsible for the operations within the inbound and high bay area
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the functionality and operation of equipment
- Participate in/initiate discussion on improvements and recommendations with cross functional teams
- Allocate team resources, provide delivery timelines and manage priorities for their team
- Actively contribute to the process of continuous improvement, regarding self, team, and systems, including mentoring and skills development
- Attend regular planning meetings with relevant teams
- Ensure that development standards, policies and procedures are adhered to
- Determines the handling of the intake of supplier deliveries
- Responsible for stock reconciliation of store returns and investigated once received back at the Region
- Responsible for stock reconciliation of Regional returns and arrange for stock to be returned to the supplier
- Analysing optimal resource requirement and effectively manage resources

**Key Deliverables**:

- Allocating team resources, providing delivery timelines, and managing priorities
- Ensuring all operational expectations are met
- Daily supplier deliveries are successfully received
- KPIs are monitored and achieved
- Authorising the working hours, holidays, time off and breaks as well as overtime (if required for all employees in area of responsibility)

**Skills & Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- GCSEs/A-Levels or Equivalent
- Automated warehouse/similar role
- Experience in Logistics / Supply Chain Management
- Organised
- Team Management
- Problem solving
- Computer literate
- Confident communicator
- Detail focused
- Excellent time management
- Material handling experience

**Desirable**:

- Experience within a WMS/WCS environment
- Experience using Manhattan WMS
- Technical expertise to manage quality and accuracy of data
- Experience operating warehouse management and warehouse control systems
- Infrastructure Solutions Design
- Knowledge of Supply Chain systems (TMS/WMS/Portals/WCS/Oracle etc)
- Computer literate including strong Office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and Outlook
- Please note that during training the role will require Day shift working_
