**Position: Part-Time Hotel Receptionist**
**Location: The Star & Garter Hotel, 2 High Sreet, Andover, Hampshire, SP10 1NX** **Working Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 3 days a week (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday)**
**Additional Weekend Work: Available (optional)**

**Role Overview**:As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing them with a warm welcome and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Your excellent communication and organisational skills will be essential in handling guest inquiries, reservations, and special requests effectively. You will also assist in administrative tasks and collaborate with other departments to ensure the seamless operation of our hotel.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring they feel welcome and valued.
- Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and check-ins/check-outs efficiently and accurately.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
- Process payments and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guest requests and ensure rooms are ready for arrivals.
- Assist with administrative duties, such as filing, data entry, and updating guest information.
- Uphold the hotel's standards of cleanliness, safety, and security.
- Work closely with other team members to maintain a positive and harmonious work environment.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in fast-paced situations.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and reservation software.
- Flexibility to work on weekends if required.
- A positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to exceed guest expectations.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
