In the role of NPD Manager you will be leading the end to end development across our entire portfolio of delicious own brand and branded seasonings, marinades and sauces.Each day will be varied and exciting. You’ll be working with customers across retail,butchers, food service and manufacturers to understand their needs and co-create accessible and unique solutions.
Alongside ensuring our range is the best it can be on quality and cost you will be responsible for our product innovation pipeline which is key to drive growth and be known as the credible experts in all things flavour.We’ll be looking to you to work withour brand and commercial teams to shape the NPD direction across private label, our own brands and exciting new brand partnerships.
As NPD Manager you will have line management responsibility for our Food Technologists and ownership of our development kitchen and processes.On joining you will have the opportunity to set a process that ensures workload is prioritised and managed effectively,all products deliver on quality & commercials, and we maintain an agile approach on development and innovation.
- Alongside our innovation pipeline it’s really important that we continue to drive innovation in flavour, functional ingredients and packaging if we want to stay ahead of our competition and be front of mind for our customers.We’ll be looking to you and yourteam to be our experts on the latest trends in cuisines, ingredients, processes and global new product launches.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- NPD & EPD concept to launch
- Innovation pipeline
- Food events & immersion sessions
- Team leadership, development & training
- Key customer & supplier relationships with Development & Innovation teams
**Experience**:
- Previous role as NPD Manager or Senior Technologist
- Hands on development of seasoning / marinades and sauces (separately or as part of prepared meals or added value proteins)
- Technical experience of working with flavours and functional ingredients
- Development process and project management
- Team development / line management
- Managing positive relationships with customers and suppliers
**Skills and Person**:
- Real passion for food and good cooking skills
- Interest and knowledge of latest global food trends
- Strong collaborator & team player
- Positive, energetic, friendly and supportive
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to work in an agile, fast paced environment
- Ability to prioritise and manage workflow
