Development Underwriter

This is an opportunity with a leading international insurer, concentrating on German and Austrian business. You will taking on an important frontline role focussing on Business Liability Insurance and E/O.
The combined skill-set of technical acumen and new business ability will be needed to further develop the offering relating to financial loss and liability business, tailor made for national and international customers.
Responsibilities;
- Further development and expansion of our financial loss and liability business in Germany and Austria
Independent and profit-oriented underwriting within the scope of your own underwriting authority
Processing of complex existing contracts
Independent and customer-oriented support of new and existing customers
Preparation of customised offers
Support in product development
Active sales activities
Support in portfolio management
Preparation of reports and risk reports
The preferred skills and experience includes;
- Degree educated and/or a comparable qualification
Experience in the field of financial loss/liability, experience in the cyber field is an advantage
Distinctive technical understanding as well as analytical skills and fun with complex topics
Good knowledge of the market and networking in the area of financial loss/liability
Willingness to travel
Very good knowledge of German and English
