Your Role at Moore Barlow

We’re really going places and have ambitious plans, but we can’t do it without great people As a result, we are looking for Senior Associate in our Residential Property team based in our beautiful Lymington office (hybrid working offered) and working with High Net Worth clients.

Reporting into Mike Wilson and working with the wider residential property team across Hampshire, this is a prominent role whereby the successful person will be seen as Mike’s right-hand person and have partnership prospects.

**Key responsibilities**:
Working with Mike Wilson, who is highly regarded and known in this space, and Partner who leads the Rural, Town & Country teams in Lymington, you will be specialising in all property matters including complex and high value residential transactions, leasehold property issues, lease extensions, commercial property transactions and financing.

As a self-sufficient fee earning you will be meeting your fee income targets through a personal case load, managing property residential cases from start to finish. Some cases are very High Net worth clients.

Great business development and marketing; raising the profile of the firm and this specific type of work through networking and delivery of work.

Assist with the installation and streamlining of processes within the team, with a particular focus on the intake of work, allocation and billing.

Work collaboratively with the Partners in the division to fulfil the department business plan.

Assist with the coaching and mentoring of junior fee earners to improve their knowledge and capability.

Responsible for team and people related conversations utilising our support tools, such as “having courageous conversations” and aligning to our core values: Human First, Stronger Together, Lead the Way, Make it Happen.

Our beautiful Lymington office has great travel links and is part of our Hampshire property offering. We do offer hybrid working for all applicants; but this is particularly good to know if you live a bit further away and need more flexibility in your working pattern.

What We Look For

Someone who is an experienced fee earner in this area of law looking to develop their career to the next level in helping to manage and build the property team that is based in Lymington; but acts for high net worth clients across the South East of England and beyond. You will have experience not only with residential, but a wide range of property work.

We are less concerned about number of years PQE as this is more about the role being for the right person who is hungry and keen to work in this space and learn from Mike and his wealth of experience. This is a lucrative client base where you can really accelerate your career and become “famous” in this space. You will be able to grow from this client base, so we’d love someone with a loyal client base who is technically strong, with an excellent record of client service delivery and financial performance, but with the reassurance that the existing client base is already very strong.
