- Platform Childcare has an exciting new opportunity for Clinical Therapist to join our organisation to provide assessment, intervention and consultation in relation to the young people in our care._
- Have a passion for working with young people as a therapist across our organisation._
- Working with the most vulnerable young people, with children in residential care and/or with learning disabilities, some experience or understanding of working with eating disorders, Autism and Trauma would also be beneficial. _
- In addition to your professional qualifications you should have experience and interest in working with young people who maybe experiencing severe, highly complex and persistent behavioural difficulties._
- Understand how to work both directly and indirectly to support the network around young people and be determined to offer bespoke, individualised and informed care. As a Clinical Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting the clinical input for assigned Homes at Platform Childcare. This includes risk assessment, advice, assistance and clinical support to colleagues and young people. _
- The role will involve completing assessments of children and young people, consulting to care staff and helping to identify needs to be addressed in care plans and therapeutic work, as well as working directly with young people._
- Ensuring that our service users receive the highest standard of support/care appropriate to their individual needs. Promote emotional well being and mental health in the young people whom we help. _

As the Lead Clinical Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting the clinical input for assigned Homes at Platform Childcare. This includes risk assessment, advice, assistance and clinical support to colleagues and young people.
The role will involve completing assessments of children and young people, consulting to care staff and helping to identify needs to be addressed in care plans and therapeutic work, as well as working directly with young people.
- Key Responsibilities and duties in relation to the young people_
- To provide a specialist child and adolescent assessment and treatment services for looked after Children and Adolescents who may be experiencing severe, highly complex and persistent behavioural difficulties
- To provide specialist advice, consultation, teaching and training within platform childcare and external agencies
- Complete individual assessments in collaboration with the young people. It is anticipated that you will utilise a range of measures and therapeutic approaches during this process.
- Work collaboratively with identified psychological services to ensure that appropriate assessments are completed during the assessment process as required
- Engage in high level of liaison with colleagues from care and education disciplines including co working
- Provide a written assessment report in collaboration with the young person for dissemination with colleagues and external placement agencies. This may require provision of reports of a suitable standard i.e. use in court proceedings.
- Design and implement individual treatment formulations, including outcome measures, which are regularly review and updated.
- Attend and contribute to a range of statutory reviews as required by the home manager or provide written information for dissemination to other disciplines.
- Provide guidance as required regarding the day to day management of individual young people to ensure their safety of other including staff.
- Provide written information identifying actions to be taken by all disciplines to support individual treatment goals and outcomes for all our young people.

- This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)_
