We are looking for Housing Support Assistants to join our team at Derwent Lodge.

**Our Service**

Derwent Lodge provides accommodation for people who have nowhere else suitable to live and who have a high housing support need. Our service provides support to those in need whilst equipping them to lead independent lives. Our facility really makes a real difference to the lives of those who need it.

**The role**

As our Housing Support Assistant, you will assist the Housing Support Officers with providing housing related support, activities and to help the residents develop their independent living skills. You will also assist residents to access employment opportunities and contribute to the general upkeep of the project as well.

This is a challenging but very rewarding role, and you will gain great job satisfaction knowing you played a part in helping someone develop their skills and move on into independent accommodation.

The hours will be part time over a 2 week rota,

Week one: Sunday 08:45 to 12pm

Week two: Saturday
- 8.45am to 5pm or 5pm -to 9pm. Sunday
- 9am to 11.30am or 11am to 4 pm or 4pm to 9pm

You will not be expected to cover all the shifts as we need more than one person due to the overlapping of shifts, they can be flexible; give us a call to find out how flexible we can be as we know a work/life balance is as important to you as it is to us.

An enhanced DBS is required for this role which we will provide.

**What you will bring**

We are looking for someone who has experience in working within a customer facing environment, has great communication skills, supportive and be able to motivate others.

We are really interested in those that have experience in a customer supportive role, but this is not essential as full training will be provided.
