Capstan Setter

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Capstan Setter for our Wolverhampton based client.

**Hours**:08:00-16:30pm Monday - Friday

**Payrate**: £12.50 / depending on experience

**General Duties**
- To set up and operate Capstan lathes from job card, works order and/or engineering drawing.
- Set, maintain, and use threading equipment such as Fette, Coventry die heads and landis
- Select correct types of tools and grades suitable to the material to be machined.
- Measure and inspect the work produced in line with QA standards and instructions.
- Ensure production is conducted in a timely manner to meet customer delivery.
- Record production output and notify the production department of completed jobs.
- Perform routine maintenance on machine tools as required.
- Observe all safe working practices.
- Make recommendations for improvement wherever possible.
