**IT Project Manager - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract**
Our client is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong financial services background to join theor change Team. You will be tasked to deliver a number of key projects that form part of a company wide IT transformation. In this role youwill manage the life cycle of projects from start up through to closure in accordance to agreed standards. You will proactively develop strong relations with the key stakeholders and project board members to deliver major projects and drive high performancefrom the Change team.
**Flexible working - 2/3 days per week on site**
**Essential Skills & Experience**
- Solid track record of delivering IT Business projects (5+ years minimum)
- Good stakeholder management skills, able to lead by example, hold teams, customers and partners to account.
- Project Management qualification (eg, Agile PM certification, Prince2, APM)
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage projects ensuring they are running in line with the project lifecycle (Prince 2 based)
- Maintaining project plans using project management tools; updating and tracking progress against the baseline and manage the timely delivery of the projects.
- Manage multiple projects at different stages
- Estimating timelines, measuring risk, and devising mitigation strategies for identified risks.
- Managing expectations for the delivery of the project and escalating issues on deadlines as early as possible to senior management to enable appropriate corrective action to be taken.
- Coordination of UAT and test cycles
- Managing project budgets
- Manage communication and expectations with stakeholders
- Conduct post implementation reviews to assess project success.
An essential part of this role will require you to have the ability to manage multiple resources (internal & external), coordinate and motivate others. The successful delivery of the projects is dependent on your ability to manage smooth transition of projectsinto operational business
As a natural leader you will be required in this position to lead at all stages of the project development plans, this will range from the overall project plan to test plans to implementation plans. You will have a proven track record of delivering resultsby aligning project plans to project objectives within a set time frame and budget.
