Claims Handler

We currently have a couple of opportunities for Multi Track Claims Handlers to join our Complex Claims team.
You will proactively manage a portfolio of cases, investigating liability and third party presented quantum claims and agreeing fair outcomes. You will not only manage and own the customer experience (including third party) but we're also looking for someonethat can mentor our current team with your technical knowledge.
This role can be based locally to our Leicester or Bexhill-on-Sea offices with a hybrid approach to working.
**What will you be doing?**
- Gathering information to enable early arrival at the correct liability decision
- Settling third party claims within financial handling authority to achieve the optimum claims settlement
- Identifying potentially fraudulent cases and liaising with relevant departments to combat fraud
- Negotiating between the policyholder, solicitors and third parties to get the best outcome for our customers
- Managing and owning the customer experience
- Managing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Providing excellent referral responses and providing coaching/mentoring to the wider team where required

**What are we looking for?**
- Motor claims experience - dealing with cases in excess of £25k
- Good overall technical knowledge of claims
- Knowledge of litigation process (fast track/stage 3) desirable
- Strong relationship building and communication skills
- Excellent active listening and problem-solving capabilities
- Commercial awareness
