**Role**: Stables Hand + General Yard Duties

**Reports to**:Owner

**Direct Reports**:
**Primary Purpose**:

- To ensure and support of all yard duties and horse care.
- Treat the safety and welfare of the horses and co workers adhered to at all times.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Mixed correct amounts of grain and medications for all horses every day.
- Kept barn and riding areas net and tidy for clients.
- Clean Stalls and managed barn cleanliness on a daily basis.
- Daily barn chores like for example; feeding, grooming, exercising, training and hunting.
- General horse care Maintenance of stable area.
- Caring for the horses, administering medications/supplements, keeping the barn clean and organized, assisting students with tackling up horses.
- Responsibilities including cleaning stalls and the barn, turning horses out, stacking hay, grooming horses and driving a tractor.
- Driving trucks, tractors and other equipment to distribute feed to the animals.
- Watching for lameness, injury, and illness, providing treatment to sick or injured animals, or contacting veterinarians to secure treatment.
- To support and comply with the policies for Health and Safety for the horses.
