**local authority **in the
**North West London **region, to recruit experienced
**SQL Database Administrator. **If you are looking to increase your earnings for the year,
**Contract: 6 months (Possible Extension)**
**Salary: £400 a day (Umbrella)**
**Start Date: ASAP**
**Shift Pattern: 36 hours per week /Monday - Friday / 9:00am - 5:00pm**
**DUTIES**
- Manage and maintain the SQL databases for Production and Test environments.
- Proactively monitor database performance, undertake appropriate tuning.
- Provide day to day BAU support, being the technical lead for all SQL database related issues.
- Investigate, identify and diagnose areas of poor performance and implement relevant solutions to ensure ongoing optimal configuration and performance.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- At least 2 years’ experience working within a SQL Database role or equivalent.
- In depth knowledge of ITIL service management.
- Extensive knowledge of SQL and other RDBMS and associated products.
- Knowledge of a complex IT support service within a large complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Oracle 19C (and above) and Solaris.
