Job Description Summary

**Job Description**:
As a cyber security apprentice, you’ll cover intermediate fundamentals of network security,

cyber security and risk management. Delivered by Firebrand, the level 4 Cyber Security Technologist apprenticeship will help you develop the skills required to implement a series of technical, procedural and physical controls to monitor, detect and respond to a wide range of cyber security threats. You will be trained in cyber risk and mitigation; maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of digital data. You will use your skills to feed into policy decisions of a cyber security awareness culture within the Group.

Your apprenticeship will take around 24 months to complete and will cover key areas such as:

- networking and cyber security fundamentals
- network security
- threat, vulnerability and risk assessment
- operating system security
- cryptography
- information security and management frameworks
- access control systems

Assessment day: May/June 2024

Start: September 2024

Starting Salary: £33,982

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

**Education**:

- National 5 qualifications in English and Maths at grades 1 - 3 or equivalent.

**Location**:

- You should live a commutable distance from the location in this advert. Our work style is hybrid and you should expect to be in the office at least 2 days per week.

Additional Requirements:

- You’ll be aged at least 18 years old when the apprenticeship starts.
