Transport Planner

A leading multi model logistics business is looking for a Transport Planner to join their Tamworth site. As an experienced Transport Planner you will assist in planning routes; managing drivers and ensuring the fleet are maintained. The role will be a permanent4 on 4 off day shift.

As a Transport Planner you will assist with the day to day running of vehicles to ensure prompt and on time deliveries to customers. You will be required to update transport systems to track vehicle, trailer and job status to meet delivery timings. You willensure vehicles and trailers are serviced and MOT'd before being used and assist drivers in managing their hours and break requirements to be compliant at all times. You will also be required to assist drivers and customers with queries and any issues thatarise during a route.
The role will be based in their Tamworth depot and the working hours will be on a permanent 4 on 4 off; 6am - 6pm. Some flexibility will be required due to the nature of the role in logistics and start and finish times may adjust slightly. On offer is a salaryof £30,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience as well as a number of company benefits. Additionally following successful completion of probation period there is an opportunity to increase salary to £34,000 - £36,000 per annum.
