**We have an opportunity for a EBME Buyer to join their team of staff in the Purchasing department.**

**This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week - Hybrid working. Office hours, with a potential requirement to work early or after hours when required.**

**Applicants should meet the following criteria**:

- Relevant experience in sourcing
Demonstrable track record in achieving savings and influencing people of all levels
Good IT literacy including MS PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrable track record in communicating ideas to senior management or board
Strong numeracy
Ability to perform total cost of ownership analysis
Ability to work in a matrix management environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels
Prepared to travel
Experienced in drafted contracts and negotiating terms

**Duties of this role include**:

- To manage and deliver all aspects of strategic sourcing on a designated range of clinical related spend projects.
- To achieve an annual allocated savings target.
- To support the procurement team in identifying value added benefits in supply and cost reduction across the business.
- Develop sourcing strategies for all relevant spend categories focusing on clinical related spend
- Undertake various administrative activities to ensure effective functioning of the team and the business: supporting invoice reconciliation; database management; obtaining data from internal stakeholder and suppliers and building datasets; developing and maintaining category management datasets; drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts
- Reactive support to stakeholders to resolve issues in the BAU operation of services
- Undertake detailed spend analysis considering various spend types (e.g. capex/ opex) and timeframes to determine overall commercial value
