Health and Safety Administrator

**Job Purpose**
- To support the Health and Safety Manager and The Karro Brydock Management team in the delivery of the Health and Safety Management System, establishing robust systems for monitoring compliance and to give reliable information on which to base decisions**Company Information**
- Karro Food Ltd are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to support our Health, Safety and Environment Manager (HSE) function across our outdoor breeding farms and Feed Mill in the North East of Scotland.
- This is an ideal opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who is looking to step into a career in Health and Safety. This role will be under the supervision of the HSE Manager and will support the delivery of the group H&S Plan**Key Accountabilities**
- To Instigate and maintain Site improvement plans for each farm and the feed mill in line with the Karro group requirements.
- To update and maintain all site plans.
- To assist with the set up of new farm sites in conjunction with the Breeding Herd Manager and Area Managers.
- To promote an HSE focus via regular site visits and building relationships with the teams out on the farms.
- To support the HSE Manager and/or take the lead in promoting safety initiatives.
- To assist and advise in the completion of timely accident and incident investigations, and any actions that may arise.
- To manage and maintain the Asbestos survey programme, reviewing and progressing any actions that may arise.
- To Maintain the LOLER register, ensuring that inspections are carried out at the correct time, and co-ordinating any necessary repairs.
- To oversee the vehicle daily check programme, ensuring any repairs & maintenance are carried out in a timely manner.
- To maintain a programme for testing of drinking water on all sites, and progressing any actions that arise from subsequent reports.
- To co-ordinate and maintain a system for the maintenance of fire extinguishers.
- To assist the Health & Safety Manager in the maintenance and review of various risk assessments including traffic management, fire dust, noise, COSHH and task based.

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Health and Safety experience is desirable - but not essential as full training will be given
- A background in agriculture would be an advantage
- Experience of a multi-site operation would be an advantage
- Achieved or working towards a Health and Safety Qualification is desirable
- IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office will be essential

**Key Challenges**
- Operating within a multi site operation with farm located from Forres down to Yorkshire
- Excellent communication, organisational and liaising skills will be essential to carry out this role
