We have a great opportunity for a HSE Advisor to join our growing team. You will be working across our established sites supporting our operations on multiple digital infrastructure builds providing gigabit connectivity to homes and business across the UK.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide advice, support and mentoring to managers, supervisors, employees and contractors on HSE procedures, processes and legal compliance to build awareness and competencies.
- Collaborate with managers and engineers to improve HSE regulatory compliance.
- Undertake audits Internal & External across all sites working alongside operational teams and contractors, continuously monitoring compliance, identifying and learning, implementing improvement actions.
- Undertaking investigations, providing good quality reports to assist in the establishment of the root causes and preventative measures.
- Deliver training and coaching sessions including toolbox talks and HSE inductions, where appropriate.
- Undertaking Health, Safety and Environmental Risk Assessments in respect of L3 OPTICS’ work processes and ensuring implementation of agreed risk control measures and working with managers to develop safe systems of work.
- Conduct engineer and supplier HSE assessments for tender and continued assessment.
- Collection of data and reporting of HSE information and statistics.
- Undertake quality audits and support business in preparing for ISO and other quality standards if required.
- Other duties as assigned or needed.

**Skills**:

- NEBOSH National Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Strong skills in client management, planning, logistics, resource management and commercial controls.
- Experience working within the Utilities industry preferably at a supervisor or manager level.
- Good working Knowledge of work management systems and windows packages such as Excel, Word, DropBox/Sharepoint, Outlook, etc.
- An understanding of Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and Quality Assurance, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA), Construction Design Management Regulations
