Little Cedars, is an outstanding nursery in Streatham, London SW16. This excellent setting is ideal for those who live in and around Streatham, Streatham Hill, Streatham Common, Streatham Park, Furzedown, Tooting, Tooting Bec, Tooting Common, Balham, Norbury and Colliers Wood.

Little Cedars offers weekday childcare and early years education for babies (6 months +) and pre-school aged children. It is a safe, stimulating and secure environment where children absolutely _flourish_. Utilising the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, they learn through play at their own unique pace, in a fun and engaging way. This ultimately prepares them for school, in the best possible way, by the time they reach the age of five.

**Job role**:

- Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
- Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures the child learns whilst having fun. Assisting in meeting OFSTED requirements.
- Being a team player.
- Providing challenging and stimulating activities for children appropriately.
- Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery.
- Supporting children’s learning and development.
- Supporting children’s self-help needs.
- Being creative and enthusiastic.
- Following Safeguarding rules and regulations.

**Essential Requirements - GCSE Maths and English C or 4, or an equivalent (Functional Skills level 2)**

**SWIFT** childcare apprenticeship is an **award winning apprenticeship** provider that has been established for over a decade. At SWIFT we know that becoming a **top early years practitioner isn't always simple**, you will need to learn on the job whilst developing skills to become the best childcare professional.

We have built and developed our apprenticeship programmes to provide people with the best opportunity to learn everything they can to build a successful career in childcare to **make a difference to young people and all future generations**.

Level 3 NVQ - Advanced Diploma Early Years Educator - The apprenticeship will last for 13 months. You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship, as well as a mentor within the nursery. **You will be working a minimum of 30 hours in the nursery**.

Your classroom days will be based online as a remote session which you will need to be fully available for, and your main childcare apprenticeship work will be done in the nursery.
