**Job description**:
The HR function is integral to operational delivery - by attracting, developing and retaining highly skilled people, we can ensure effective delivery of equipment and support to our colleagues on the front line. Our Human Resources function helps develop a highly skilled, motivated, and inclusive workforce needed to drive exceptional performance and we are looking to add to our expert workforce of HR advisors.You will be joining the HR function at Defence Equipment & Support, working alongside a team of experienced and passionate HR professionals. Benefiting from a network of colleagues to lend support as you broaden your knowledge, skills and experience and progress your HR career in this exciting and important role.
This is a varied and fast-paced role, which requires accuracy, energy and outstanding communication skills which gives you a phenomenal opportunity to demonstrate your expertise as a HR Advisor by engaging and supporting teams to achieve successful outcomes.

**Responsibilities**:
- The responsibilities of these posts will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Provide support to colleagues across areas of specialism e.g., Business Partner teams, Centres of Expertise, HR operational services.
- Manage and/or support sub elements of broader projects across HR. This may include support in the development of documentation including agendas, briefing packs, records, and actions management.
- Act as a coach and support colleagues with their development.
- Respond to enquiries within relevant work area providing trusted guidance and providing a high level of customer service.
- Support the development of and compliance with HR/People policies as required, ensuring robust configuration management.
- Build a network of both internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Trade Unions for ER roles). Work in collaboration with the business ensuring alignment on objectives and delivery of plans/ projects
- Support the production of management information, undertaking analysis to drive delivery improvement within teams through identification of suitable interventions.
**What you will be assessed against**
- To be found successful you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Awareness of employment law and knowledge of HR policy and procedure
- Experience and confident in engaging with stakeholders across all levels- Associate CIPD Member, Intermediate (level 5)
