**Salary**: £29,000 dependant on experience

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Issue the open purchase order book to suppliers on a weekly basis, and upload delivery dates and all paperwork into SAP in a timely manner to ensure the UK EM Team have visibility of the status of orders.
- Keep the Supply Chain Principles informed of any relevant delivery issues and escalate if revised dates have been missed and any risk identified. Support resolution and improvement of delivery dates where required in order to meet delivery schedules.
- Develop relationships with suppliers, establishing key contacts to support expediting and escalation.
- Develop and embed Supply Chain reporting into Procurement and Projects daily management process.
- Support the Principle in ensuring Suppliers meet Quality Assurance and Accreditation standards as set out by the Business.
- Opportunity to deputise in the absence of the Supply Chain Principle.

**Your skills and experiences**:
Essential
- Communicates information and provides explanations which are clearly understood (written and verbal)
- Excellent data entry skills, confident using IT systems
- Ability to manage own time and prioritise workload
- Attention to detail; able to produce accurate, well-presented, and considered work

Desirable
- Experience in supply chain or use of SAP is advantageous but not a pre-requisite.
- Supply Chain or any Clerical/Admin type backgroun

**The Equipment Management team**:
BAE Systems’ UK Equipment Management (EM) team plays a pivotal role in supporting the Royal Navy, from Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO), technical support services and products to equipment availability, spares and repairs and post design services. The team offer Through-life support to The Royal Navy’s fleet around the world to help maximise asset availability and capabilities. The UK Equipment Management team cover a range of Power, Propulsion and Platform Auxiliary Systems and Equipment.
