**What you’ll be doing**
Playing a key role in Process Engineering at Thames Water, as the **Process Engineer**, you’ll work within either our water or wastewater treatment teams and will be part of an industry-leading Process Engineering operation that can create theintelligent client Thames Water needs to deliver its AMP7 plan and beyond. No two days are the same and you’ll have the opportunity to work on a range of water and/or wastewater projects.
**Focusing on the process discipline, you’ll provide the expertise needed to**:

- Get the right technical requirements with the Project Definition Briefs
- Input and continuously improve Technical Asset Standards
- Provide design sign-off to Capital Delivery as the Delivery Stream dictates
- Provide technical assurance during the delivery, commissioning, and handover of assets
- Drive the digital advancement of our engineering within the Corporate Digital strategy
- Ensure and deliver the engineering regulatory compliance on relevant assets

**The key accountabilities of the role include**:

- Develop process design solutions for either water treatment or wastewater and biosolids treatment plants
- Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering teams to deliver the design solutions to schedule and budget
- Provide the technical sign-off and assurance during technical delivery including handover
- Ensure we are compliant with engineering-based regulatory requirements
- Promote the establishment of a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for engineering by engaging in progression, mentoring, and continuous improvement
- Promote the establishment of a cohesive, sustainable Engineering structure from graduate to industry experts that steers Thames Water’s engineering into AMP8 and beyond

**We’re looking for you to**:

- **Be educated to a degree level**in process engineering, process science, chemical engineering, or equivalent. Knowledge of the water industry is ideal
- **Have an eye for detail** and proven problem-solving ability
- Be knowledgeable in **designing water treatment and/or wastewater treatment plants** (including biosolids)
- **Understand the regulatory environment** to achieve compliance with our engineering regulatory requirements
- **Have excellent communication** and influencing skills, to clearly interact with colleagues and stakeholders
- **Demonstrate a passion for continuous professional development** and take an active approach to drive diversity within engineering at Thames Water
