Hello there

We're a creative brand and web design studio based in Bournemouth, Dorset but have clients worldwide. Currently, we're on the lookout for a talented and enthusiastic design assistant to join our small team. This gig starts off "as needed", but there's definitely potential for it to grow into full-time work for the right person. We're all about design and we're eager to find someone who shares our passion for it. This position would suit someone fresh out of college/uni or even still attending a graphic design course. Or someone with 1-2 years experience in the industry, whether that was working for someone or for yourself.

Ideally, you should be based in Bournemouth. This role offers flexible hours and the option to work remotely, but it would be great if you could pop into the office 1-2 days a week.

**Designer Role**:

- Brand identity design support, including creating logos, submarks, patterns, illustrations, and other brand identity elements.
- Design digital assets such as marketing materials, social media graphics, and website layouts.
- Create moodboards, color palettes, branding guidelines and other creative direction documents.
- Utilise design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Collaborate with the lead designer to develop and execute visual designs for various projects.
- Analyse client feedback and make revisions to designs as necessary.
- Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity.
- Design presentation templates and organise pre-designed brand elements.
- Create brand mockups using the provided mockup library.
- Create, export, and organise social media graphics for the business, for various platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest).
- Perform other design tasks to support business operations.

**Admin Role**:

- Keep tabs on new client leads and follow up.
- Monitor calendars.
- Assist with client onboarding and help them settle into our project management systems.
- Stay on top of deadlines and follow up with clients as needed.
- Perform project prepwork checks and image optimisations.
- Manage our social media presence, from posting to engaging with our audience.

**Required Skills**:

- You're a pro _(or on your way to being one)_ with Adobe Creative Suite and know your way around Illustrator. InDesign, and Photoshop a plus
- You've got a solid grasp of design principles, colour theory and you’re obsessed with fonts.
- You're comfortable with (or very willing to learn) web design platforms like Showit and WordPress.
- Bonus points if you're familiar with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Communication and organization are your strong suits.

**Desired Skills**:

- If you know your way around Adobe After Effects, LottieFiles, and SVG coding, that's a definite plus.
