**THE COMPANY**:
Our client is a leading wholesale bank, providing trade solutions to clients internationally.

**THE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Deputise for the Head of Financial Crime Monitoring and Assurance in his/her absence
- Execute and delivery of end-to-end Monitoring and Testing reviews composed by planning, substantive testing, report writing and following up of findings and recommendations with senior management on Financial Crime Compliance covering all business lines within the Business,
- Support delivery of the annual Business Wide financial crime Risk Assessment (BWRA). This annual risk assessment to be also used to identify those areas requiring monitoring and assurance.
- Manage recommendations raised by the monitoring and testing reviews and the BWRA and logged in the
- Bank’s Remedial Actions Plan (RAP) register to their full implementation and closure, ensuring support evidence for closure are documented and stored for audit trail.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders by providing support and solutions on a broad range of conduct and regulatory issues, whilst maintaining effective independence as a second line of defence monitoring and testing function
- Investigative and report on any suspected breach of applicable standards.
- Support and assist management in adherence to applicable laws and regulations as well as to high standards of business and ethical integrity.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in monitoring and testing or Internal Audit in a financial institution (required)
- Robust understanding of the regulatory environment in relation to AML/CTF/Tax Evasion, AB&C, Sanctions, Fraud (required)
- Understanding of financial crime risks presented by commercial banking products such as Trade Finance and Correspondent Banking (desirable)
- Ability to work independently ad as part of a team
- Strong analytical skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Degree educated or equivalent.
