**Job Overview**:
Assess the needs of prospective and current students with well-being needs, and offer relevant advice and support, or refer on to other internal or external services as appropriate.
- Be an advisory figure to college staff and partners, in the support, identification or advice of Well-Being.
- Act as a liaison between identified students and their parents/carers in respect to their support provision.
- Develop bespoke training for staff, to enhance the support available to specific student groups.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

- Conduct pre-entry work with identified applicants to assess support needs and, where appropriate, liaise with other support staff to coordinate support packages for students.
- Develop and oversee a caseload of students needing support for wellbeing.
- To assist with delivery of wellbeing related staff training and targeted group enrichment for students
- Support the College in the development and review of relevant policies and procedures in this area with regards to providing support for learners with a range Well-being & health issue.
- Inform the College of relevant developments in mental health trends and legislation.
- Support transition plans for school leavers coming into the FE environment and organise plans for our FE learners progressing internally to our HE progression.
- Manage the learner journey, as appropriate, from point of disclosure to further progression.
- Be the named point of contact for students in need of Well-being support.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Student Services team.
- Act as a liaison between identified students within the framework of the job role and their parents, carers or guardians in respect to their support provision
- Liaise with College Departments to ensure that relevant members of staff are aware of individual students needs and that reasonable adjustments are in place.
- Establish and maintain close links with relevant statutory and voluntary services, and external referral agencies.
- Maintain comprehensive records and produce statistical reports in a timely manner when required.
- Complete and submit log sheets for funding claims as necessary and as agreed with the ALS Manager
- Reviewing and monitoring quality processes to ensure service level agreements are met, quality standards are maintained, and customer satisfaction is excellent.
- Work with others to promote a positive attitude to wellbeing within the college.
- Support College events to promote the Wellbeing service.

**Job Requirements**:

- Appropriate professional qualification, or relevant experience of working in a Student Support or Mental Health setting
- Experience of working with young people.
- Excellent communication Skills
- Ability to work in a busy environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft office and ability to adapt to new software
- Ability to prioritise their workload
- Have a team orientated ethos
