**Position Overview**

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Service Co-Ordinator to join us. You will join Tumour Targeted Delivery Group and take responsibility of providing support to laboratory and logistics operations. We are offering this role on a fulltime, permanent basis.

Are you just starting you career in science and want to join international, industry leading company? Or are you experienced in logistics, shipping, materials management and would like to build on your knowledge?

You will spend about 70% of your time in laboratory, and 30% at office doing administrative tasks like shipping paperwork or ordering consumables. Your time will be divided between laboratory operations and shipping.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Preventative maintenance, cleaning & documentation of several laboratory instruments including incubators, tissue culture hoods & water baths
- Management of consumables & reagents, including Point of Use (PoU) Kanban areas by daily monitoring and replenishment, and liaising with in-house media prep. services
- Pack, prepare and ship R&D samples (biological, chemical, dangerous goods etc.) globally ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and transport regulations (air/road/sea) including Dangerous Goods regulations (IATA, ADR, IMDG) and DfT requirements
- Receive and store samples including completion of Goods-in tracker and ensure materials with special requirements (such as hazardous shipments and temperature sensitive items) are properly monitored.

**Experience Required**
- A scientific qualification is preferable, or experience working within a scientific environment
- Experience of shipping dangerous goods to IATA/ADR regulations advantageous, however not mandatory, because training will be provided
- Proven excellent customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively
- Basic IT skills required (advance Microsoft Excel preferable)
