- As a caretaker, you will be:
- Proving a responsive and flexible service, assisting new residents as they move into their new homes.
- Be the first point of contact dealing with resident’s enquiries reducing complaints.
- Involved in maintaining communal areas within our blocks and on our estates, carrying out spot cleaning of communal cleaning areas when required.
- Waste management e.g. communal bin stores/litter picking the scheme, arranging bulk waste collections.
- Carrying out small maintenance repairs as required.
- Reporting and monitoring outstanding repairs.
- Liaising directly with contractors and answering queries and you must have due regard to health & safety and security issues.

- Full driving licence.
- Excellent communicator, be willing to learn new skills as the service adapts to the changing needs within the Neighbourhood.
- GCSE standard in literacy, reading, writing.
- Have IT skills as you will be required to use a PC, undertaking online courses and assessments (This can be learnt on the job during the probationary period)
- Problem solver
- Capable of carrying out a variety of small repair jobs and working effectively as part of a team and under your own initiative.
- Trade skills, DIY experience would be an advantage.
- Able to work on your own initiative and be self-motivated to organise your own time effectively.
- Proactive in your daily activities and aware of safe working practices.
