The Standards and Testing Agency is supporting the successful return of national assessments following their cancellation in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. This is an exciting time in the Agency as we build back to full delivery. The post holder for this role will provide Procurement and financial administrative support for Assessment Research and Development and Assessment Operations Services teams.

**Job description**:
The Standards and Testing Agency (STA) is the part of the Department for Education responsible for the development and delivery of statutory assessments for pupils up to the age of 14 and for school-based assessment policy.

In addition to policy development and implementation, the STA’s main functions are to:

- Develop high quality and rigorous National Curriculum Assessments (NCA) in line with Ministerial policy.
- Deliver the assessments (including printing, distribution, marking and data capture)
- Support schools in carrying out the assessments.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

- Provide administrative support for procurements by effectively managing the relevant tracking documents and reporting mechanisms.
- Provide administrative support for finance within the two divisions. Ensure compliance and provide ongoing reporting.

The post holder will report to the Programme Manager.

As this role includes completion of the Procurement and Supply Apprenticeship Level 3 and Commercial Procurement and Supply Apprenticeship Level 4, please check the eligibility requirements below using the apprenticeship standard: Procurement and Supply Apprenticeship Level 3 and Commercial Procurement and Supply Apprenticeship Level 4

**You must**:

- Have lived in the UK for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date and not be undertaking another apprenticeship at the same time.
- Not already have a substantial amount of the skills and knowledge that is covered in the contents of the apprenticeship standard.
- Not have already worked in a similar role, or your previous learning, and/or work experience covers the contents (Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours) of the apprenticeship standard.
- You already have all the skills and knowledge that is covered in the contents of the apprenticeship standard.
