The Sky UKI Controller will be responsible for all general accounting functions for Sky and will oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and variance analysis. You will provide accounting expertise to operating management and will work very closely with the FP&A, Commercial Finance, and with the Shared Service Centre.

What you’ll do:
- Lead a culture of integrity, transparency and ethical reporting, ensuring we always do the right thing.- Positively contribute to (and own) UKI efforts to align processes with Comcast colleagues, building a culture of collaboration and respect which is rooted in a mutual desire to achieve the most efficient and effective reporting process for the wider Comcast group- Own all aspects of financial reporting for Sky UKI, including ownership of the financial statements in terms of completeness, accuracy, valuation, existence, and presentation.- Instil a culture of continuous improvement in financial reporting and the wider controllership function, ensuring Sky’s reporting and process evolve to meet the challenges of the future.- Review the DCC/s302 certification process for the UKI, ensuring completeness and accuracy of disclosures and providing an overview to the Group Controller when required.- Be the main point of contact for the interpretation and implementation of new regulatory and reporting standards and amendments, working with our Group team where required.- Own SOX adherence within our UK&I business, playing a key role in oversight of the development of our control framework and maintaining best in class practice- Accountable for our annual reporting process within Sky, working with our various partners (Legal, CoSec, Tax, Treasury & Finance Delivery) to achieve excellence in our reporting- Ensure the finance function fully considers and reflects the impact of changes in accounting standards/regulations as part of commercial decision making, ensuring these are aligned with expectations of external auditors.- Be accountable for ensuring that reporting for FCA information requests as well as other regulatory or statutory reporting e.g. Ofcom is complete and accurate- Deputise for the Group Controller as and when required, preparing briefing notes when appropriate- Be a key contact for our audit partners, overseeing our delivery during key reporting periods and providing support to the Senior Finance Manager for escalated issues.- Lead a high performing team, providing development and support at all levels to ensure

What you’ll bring:
- Substantial PQE with knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP reporting, ideally within a large organisation or professional services organisation- Experience of working with business partners to implement new reporting/regulatory requirements- A proactive attitude to risk identification, management and mitigation and a willingness to work with the business to improve control.- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention of detail, particularly in your approach to review of financial statements and/or associated management information- Good communication skills and a willingness to reach out to the business and be proactive in offering assistance and guidance
