One of the most recognised and leading Training Providers in the UK are currently recruiting for a SEN Traineeship Tutor, the location is a split between Somerset, Remote and Home Based.
With an excellent understanding of young learners’ needs you will be responsible for supporting them through the learner journey to help them recognise their potential. You will also have the ability to manage learning situations using flexible, student-centredapproaches.
**Responsibilities**:
- Design, deliver, and evaluate our SEN Skills offer to meet the needs of the employer
- Provide advice and guidance to learners on the requirements of the curriculum and assessment.
- Liaise with and maintain key stakeholder relationships with the employer and relevant partner organisations
- Proactively review learner feedback during and after programme to ensure provision is meeting the needs of learners and progressing them towards their educational goals
- Ensure appropriate quality assurance mechanisms are implemented
- Undertake regular CPD activities to maintain professional competency Ensures best practice is adhered to and championed
- Accountable for own professional development and undertake necessary training as identified in the Performance Review process.
- Actively participate in, and promote Prevent and the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
- Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures always, including Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities, Quality, Health and Safety and IT.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Minimum L3 professional teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET)
- L2 Functional Skills English and Maths.
- Assessor and/or verifier awards (CAVA, TAQA) (Desirable)
- IAG qualification L3 (Desirable)
**Desirable**
- Experience of delivering supported traineeships/internships over a 12 month period
**Essential**
- Strong background in teaching and learning with experience of SEN provision
- Proven experience of engaging and retaining hard to reach learners.
- Experience of initial and diagnostic assessment tools for functional skills
- Experience of delivery in the classroom and the workplace to young learners and adults.
- Knowledge and experience of portfolio and assessment-based teaching and learning
- Ability to work flexibly to fulfil the demands of the role.
