**Job Description**:
St Helens IASS is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and flexible caseworker. The caseworker role will be required to work as an Independent Supporter for parents and young people.
They will work with families of Children and Young People with special educational needs and disabilities, in line with the Children and Families Act 2014.
They will have up to date knowledge and understanding of SEN procedures and relevant legislation, including the SEN Code of Practice 2014 and the Equality Act 2010.
The role will involve attending meetings with parents, young people and professionals, help with completing forms and providing information and advice.
Experience of working with a wide range of partners and agencies is essential.
The person appointed will need a high level of organisational skills and be able to manage their time efficiently. The ability to travel across the borough is essential and to be able to work in a team as well as individually.
