As part of NHS England Workforce Training & Education (NHSE WT&E), this role will oversee the education and training supported by the West Kent Training Hub, to achieve improvements in quality, safety and compassion with the care delivered to the local population which is underpinned by strong governance and accountability.

The Locality TH Clinical Lead (AD) will support the Kent Surrey and Sussex (KSS) Primary Care Dean, Head of Primary Care School (KSS PCS) and ICS Training Hub Clinical Lead (AD) to deliver educational leadership through a partnership approach including working with health and social care systems including Integrated Care Systems (ICSs), Integrated Care Partnerships (ICPs) and Primary Care Networks (PCNs).

This is a multi-professional role supporting strategic oversight in partnership with the GP and Primary Care Schools. It is desirable that the successful applicant will have a medical background and remain registered with a licence to practice.

The postholder will provide clinical leadership to the Training Hub, and line management of the GP Tutors and NHSE WT&E Primary Care Workforce Development Leads (as appropriate) in their described locality. They will work closely in collaboration with the Patch Associate GP Deans to ensure the network support and develop the capacity required for the primary care future workforce.

**The Post holder will**:

- Have the option of maintaining an “in hours” clinical commitment external to NHSE WT&E. The working arrangements must be agreed with the Primary Care Dean.
- Meet professional requirement for continuing professional development and revalidation maintaining a license to practice within your scope of practice
- Conduct duties in accordance with NHSE WT&E Health and Safety policies in a manner that safeguards your personal wellbeing and that of colleagues. Managers have a special responsibility for assessing and minimising risk to staff and as with all NHSE WT&E staff report accidents, significant events and near misses
- Handle personal and other manual and electronic data in accordance with current and future data protection legislation / policies and all relevant NHS policies
- Notify the Primary Care Dean of any difficulties impacting on your ability to discharge the role and update on any change in circumstances including informing NHSE WT&E of sickness and statutory leave
- All duties will be carried out in a manner that supports and promotes absolute commitment to Equality and Diversity polices and relevant legal framework

The post is based at NHSE WT&E KSS local office in Horley, for management purposes. However, work will be undertaken within a geographically described area. There may be requirements to travel further afield across KSS.

The Primary Care Department is responsible for the delivery of general practice education, alongside training and development for the multi-professional primary care workforce.
