**The Role
Inspiring and enthusiastic member of staff required to teach A Level Law and Vocational Law to Level 3. We are looking

for a member of staff, with dynamism and passion for Law, to provide continuity for students for this maternity cover.

Applications from Teachers in Schools and Sixth Form College sectors are welcome. A full mentoring programme is

organised to introduce all new staff to sixth form college systems and procedures and to support and encourage

ability and suitability to both the role and the culture of the College

**Start Date**:Late February/early March 2023

**Hours**: this role will be 0.9FTE to Full-time

**Salary**:FTE** **£28,629 to £43,241 pa, depending on experience (including fringe allowance), pro rata for 0.9FTE

**The Department**
The Humanities Department is a highly successful team, with a particular passion for innovative approaches to

teaching and learning. Student numbers are consistently growing year on year, so that is an exciting time to join the

department. Our expectations are high and our students value the support that the department offer to ensure they

excel and meet their potential. This includes regular study support workshops, bookable 1:1s for personalized

support, target setting and an intensive revision programme, as well as being focused on the development of exam

skills and improving literacy.

Alongside the academic opportunities offered to students, extra-curricular trips, university guest speakers, visits and

support sessions are also key to our success to offer students a diverse educational experience. As part of the Woking

Way programme, the College offers the opportunity for wider learning through the short courses programme and

lunchtime lecture series. Recent departmental lectures have included “_Organised religion - spiritual solace or spiritual _
- opportunism?”_ and “_Super Volcanoes - when will Yellowstone erupt_?”. The majority of Humanities students go on to

higher education in all department fields: Geography, Religious Studies, Philosophy and Law, and enjoy support and
