Randstad Education is seeking an experienced and skilled Finance Officer for one of our client secondary schools in North London (Hackney). The school is looking for someone who will be responsible to provide financial assistance and support to the school and assist with the day to day running of the Finance Section.

The School:

- A community-serving wide ability school with a strong focus on learning, teaching and good behaviour
- A school with students that are taught to be open-minded and nurture respect for other cultures

About the role:

- Assist the Finance Manager in maintaining effective and proper control of the school's bank accounts.
- To assist in the generation of receipts and payments for private funds and the main school account
- To aid in the maintenance of petty cash vouchers, as well as the documentation of all revenue and outgoings.
- To aid in the reconciliation of all received income
- To provide administrative support to the main office, student services, reception and welfare
- To assist in the receipt and banking of all monies paid into the schools accounts, including completing the relevant journal entries on FMS
- Maintain financial records using PS financials, excel and other databases

To be eligible for this role, the potential Finance Officer must:

- Hold the right to work/eligibility in the UK
- DBS certificates
- Provide specific references
