Research has consistently shown Mirriad’s in-video advertising is highly effective for the marketer and is preferred by audiences, delivering a better experience.

Mirriad works with some of the most renowned advertisers, agencies and leading TV and video platforms. Clients include Disney/ABC, Univision, A&E Networks, Crown Media, Tencent Video, France Television and Channel 4 Television.

**Purpose of Role**:
The role of Finance assistant to is to fully support the Finance team to ensure to ensure the smooth operation of all finance matters across the global business.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring transaction postings are made correctly and in a timely manner into the group finance system
- Reconciliation of purchase ledgers and reconciliations of all bank accounts
- Reconciliation of monthly credit card statements and prepaid debit card expenditure
- Logging purchase invoices in various currencies and assigning them in the financial systems (Kefron and Accounts IQ)
- Ensuring expense reports are recorded appropriately and distributed to subsidiary finance teams in a timely manner
- Maintenance of UK Fixed Asset Register and monthly depreciation calculations
- Posting and unwinding of UK prepayments to ensure they are recognised in the correct period
- Acting as first line of expense scrutiny and preparation of Purchase Orders for approval by the CFO / FC
- Preparation of bi-monthly payment runs in the online bank system which includes both UK and international payments
- Plan, organise and manage own workload for contribution to monthly financial reporting process
- Preparation of VAT returns for review by the Management Accountant
- Maintaining accounting records, filing systems and computer files

**General Duties**
- Undertaking general clerical duties such as dealing with correspondence, filing and photocopying
- Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this role
- flexibility with availability outside normal working hours at busy times of the year

**Education**:

- Must have completed or be studying for a recognised Financial Qualification
- Minimal good GCSE results in English and Maths

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Ability to present written information in a structured and balanced way appropriate to the audience
- Proven track record of a high level of competence in the full Microsoft office suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of a computerised accounting software, ideally Accounts IQ
- Full understanding of accountancy processes and procedures
- Good organisational skills used in planning own work, and good attention to detail
- Able to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines
- Able to work in a busy office environment that often demands high levels of concentration
- Responds quickly and effectively to changing priorities
- Experience of managing a high volume workload and can demonstrate that at interview
- Work effectively with mínimal management guidance/supervision
- Good analytical and problem solving ability
- Communicate effectively with CEO, CFO, Global Managers, suppliers, and staff
- A desire to learn new things and develop as a finance professional

**Experience**:

- Minimum of one year working in a similar role in a busy Finance department
- Good working experience of accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank transactions
- Experience of working in a technology-based business an advantage
