Fordingbridge, United Kingdom Barrell Treecare Ltd Full time

Exciting, fast paced, 'centre of everything' which will see you supporting up to three professional colleagues to organise, manage and deliver their workload. There will be lots of liaison with clients, other professions, and internal teams to deliver top quality advice, mainly in report and plan formats.

You will have plenty of autonomy over your working day, the focus is on solving clients’ problems and delivering the best quality advice and reports we can, within agreed budget and time constraints. Your consultant colleagues spend a fair amount of time away from the office and you will be their main resource in the office to get things done.

**Typical day**:

- Check project diaries to see what ‘critical path’ tasks need attending to over the next few days, discuss any potential conflicts with Office Manager.
- Meet with consultant colleague to review their up and coming work commitments and work out what they need from you, third parties and other team members to achieve them.
- Contact architect to ask when their final drawing will be ready for us to use to finalise our report.
- Proofread report and plan, return to consultant if there are any queries for possible amendments.
- Liaise with the CAD team over drawings that clients have sent in, or drawings that are needed to accompany our reports (on behalf of consultant).
- Publish and issue report to client.
- Prepare and issue invoice to client.
- Update project databases to maintain contemporaneous file notes, adjust project timelines and update project information.
- Receive and process incoming field data from consultant's site visit.
- Arrange site visit for consultant, check available material and prepare site visit pack.
- Assist colleague with cross referencing tree schedule and plan.
- Ring local planning authority to check to see if a site has any legal tree protection measures in place (TPO or Conservation Area status).

**What do you need to succeed**:

- Attention to detail and good level of English grammar.
- IT literacy, MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), Adobe Pro and our bespoke database are the main pieces of software you will use.
- A natural inclination to help people, colleagues, clients and other professionals.
- The ability to multi-task, identify the most pressing task and focus on achieving it.
- Good communication skills.
- An interest in learning (there is a lot to learn about what we do and opportunities to acquire some basic GIS or CAD skills if you are interested).
- Calmness under pressure.

**What is it like to work here**:
We are a small team (currently 15 but expanding), we work under pressure, we help each other out and no one person can deliver our ‘product’ it takes the whole team working together to be successful. It is a professional office environment, friendly but focused on work and this role is office based. We don't have pool tables, social clubs, juke boxes or a canteen but we do occasionally go and review one of our projects and then enjoy a nice afternoon tea or lunch out somewhere fabulous

It will take at least 6 months before you feel you have a full grip on the role, a further 6-12 before you are truly 'spinning all the plates', but you will be trained, appreciated, supported and offered opportunity for further personal development throughout the whole journey.

**To find out more**:
**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,500.00 per year

**Benefits**:
