We are looking for an Head of Procurement to lead the Procurement Function at WARP. Responsible for around a £55m spend across ingredients, packaging, 3PL, 3PM and indirect categories. The opportunity to positively impact the future of our business in this role is huge. We need a tenacious Head of Procurement to get great-tasting snacks into peoples’ hands and help us go after our vision of being the world’s favourite better-for-you snack brand.

**The Person**:
This person will be an experienced, passionate Procurement leader with a strong background in Food Manufacturing and FMCG. They will have a deep understanding of procurement best practices, market dynamics, and supplier management. They will be an exceptional negotiator, with a track record of building strong, strategic relationships that consistently deliver results - both internally and externally. This person will be highly analytical and numerate leader with an ability to work at pace and communicate confidently with a wide variety of stakeholders.

**The Role**:
This role will be to continue embedding the Procurement function into the heart of the business and will play a critical role in long-term business planning. You will be responsible for leading the team, overseeing and executing all procurement activities across all categories, and instrumental in delivering our ambitious growth and sustainability agenda. Partnering closely with key stakeholders across to business, you will be a leader who makes a difference across WARP. The role will also have monthly travel requirements between our WARP locations of Nuneaton and London.

**Responsibilities**:
**Leadership**:

- Build, lead and develop a high-performing Procurement team, that’s integral to WARP and a true business partner in the organisation
- Develop, lead, coach and mentor direct reports. Provide similar partnership to relevant teams across the business as you work to establish the role of Procurement.
- Ensure all team members have personal development plans and conduct formal and informal performance reviews with all team members.

**Procurement responsibilities**:

- Define the 5-year Procurement strategy and plans across all categories to deliver against the business objectives.
- Deliver the procurement annual budget
- Risk management: Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry dynamics to proactively identify risks and opportunities to the budget delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement across the business, acting as a role model around quality and process standards.
- Lead the sourcing cycle for all annual buys, engaging negotiation teams when relevant; driving an effective negotiation process.
- Ensure the team are supported and equipped to negotiate annual contracts with suppliers to achieve the most competitive pricing and strong availability across all Procurement categories.
- For WARP’s key strategic suppliers, you will take the lead on the annual negotiation.
- Develop and implement rigorous contracts (MSAs & annual contracts), incorporating service level agreements and continuous improvement targets.
- Employ a robust supplier management programme to support innovation and sustainability ambitions.
- Collaborate with supply chain and finance leadership to deliver against business plans.
- Influence at a senior management level so that teams deliver together, exceptionally well - every time.
- Develop and continuously improve procurement processes, procedures, systems, governance and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

**Requirements**:

- Extensive sourcing and procurement experience, across all spend categories, in an FMCG organisation of at least 10 years.
- Experience managing both inhouse and outsourced models for procurement.
- Proven leadership in large scale FMCG and Manufacturing environment
- Strong capability to set category strategy and plans; experienced in establishing credibility with internal and external partners.
- Financially and commercially astute, analytical and evidence of sound judgement and decision making
- Expertise in negotiation and drafting contracts and SLAs to deliver great cost and service
- Inspirational team leader with experience of leading multi discipline teams, with excellent people management skills.
- Experience of making tough decisions and prioritising delivery challenging environments
- Proven experience developing and sustaining senior supplier and stakeholder relationships. Must demonstrate ability to build successful working relationships across functions (Suppliers / Marketing / Commercial / Operations as well as within wider supply chain)
- MCIPS and/or equivalent Business Qualifications
- Monthly travel between our WARP locations of Nuneaton and London.
