**The role**

As our Internal Communication Officer, you’ll play an integral part maximising the effectiveness of our internal communications. With a diverse workforce across different regions, the role is crucial in helping us to build a one team culture, that our colleagues want to be part of.

As part of the wider Communications and Brand team, you’ll oversee the planning and delivery of our colleague communications across a variety of media formats and events, adapting writing styles according to the stakeholder you’re representing and the audience you’re targeting.

This role is part of People and Strategy where you'll help us to build a culture and brand that people want to be part of.

**What you'll achieve**

Your key responsibilities will be to:

- Support the production and publication of our internal communications channels including our monthly ezine, newsletter and intranet.
- Work with the PR, Media and Customer Communication teams to share and source content as appropriate.
- Own the organisation of key events and the associated content and assets including, colleague roadshows, leadership seminars and other corporate events.
- Manage all processes and procedures that contribute towards the successful delivery of events and internal communications making improvements where necessary.
- Advise on writing style, approach, tone and format to help employees understand and feedback on scope, impact and opportunities of specific projects and plans.
- Promote our culture, values and behaviours internally through news, content, case studies, newsletters, events and regular communications.

**Essential skills**

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Degree or relevant professional qualification - CIPR/CIM/NCT/NUJ or equivalent experience
- Excellent writing skills and use of the English language with the ability to adjust writing style according to audience
- Ability to work with stakeholders on a wide range of levels and on a wide range of projects
- Ability to work and think in an innovative way
- Excellent planning, organisation and event management skills

**Desirable skills**
- Ability to effectively coordinate delivery across cross-functional teams
