Porter Team Leaders aid in providing the essential Portering and Logistics service within the hospital, leading a team of porters to ensure that patients and logistics are moved within a timely manner whilst providing a courteous and efficient service. We will cover costs for a DBS check if required for the role. Basic skills training and knowledge of Health and Safety are an advantage for the role.

We have a full time position, 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis. The salary is £23,545 per year. The rota covers a 24/7 basis however we are open to discuss the days and hours. The rota is provided 4 weeks in advance and you will usually have 3/4 days off per week.

**Main Duties of the Role**
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure that requirements of tasks are understood including the timeframes of movements.
- Supervise portering activities to optimise people and equipment timeframes
- Demonstrate leadership and team building skills through communication, holding regular meetings with staff to build the efficiency of the Portering department
- Participate as a full member of the team, including completing front line Portering tasks, supporting and carrying out training, flexibly covering other members of the team
