**About us**

Junior Sport Stars' team of energetic, experienced coaches and full qualified sports coaches deliver over 250 sports sessions to over 5000 children in Greater Manchester each and every week. Our school of Gymnastics is based in our incredible Gymnastics venue, offering stare-of-the-art facilities for every discipline of Gymnastics.

**Position purpose**

Junior Sport Stars are looking for part-time Gymnastics Coaches to work as part of our team. Our team of professional, inspiring and knowledgeable Coaches work with children in Primary Schools delivering Gymnastics and additional hours can be made available at our own, purpose-built, School of Gymnastics in the evenings and at weekends.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Coaching duties and responsibilities**
- **Gymnastics Coach-** Deliver sessions in local primary schools using our own curriculum.
- **Gymnastics CPD Coach-** Work together with local Primary Schools and teaching staff in improving their Gymnastics curriculum and delivery.
- **After-School Clubs Gymnastics Coach
- **Plan and deliver exciting, engaging and age-appropriate Gymnastics lessons to children in local Primary schools.

**Office Duties and Responsibilities**

As well as s/he delivering Gymnastics sessions s/he may be asked to fulfil certain office duties as part of the role:

- Planning
- All of the sessions that are delivered are to be planned and evaluated using our curriculum and lesson structure.
- Assessments
- Use our online portal to monitor the development of the children and record their progress after each lesson.

As well as undertaking the roles mentioned above s/he also has a duty of care when working with children and must adhere to our own and each individual school’s policies and procedures at all times.

**Qualifications**
- British Gymnastics Level 2 or higher qualified (**min. requirement)**:

- Experience working with children (**required min. 3 years experience**)
- First Aid trained and DBS checked (**not essential-can be done in-house**).
- Training on safeguarding children (**not essential-can be done in-house**).
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (**mandatory**).
- A positive, can-do attitude and personality (**essential**)

**Working Conditions**

When working on-site you will be coaching in local Primary Schools. All other work will be done at our School of Gymnastics and Head Office:

- Sunaco House, Bletchley Road, Heaton Mersey, Stockport. SK4 3EF_

**Physical Requirements**

As s/he will be working with children and delivering Gymnastics we expect s/he to be in good physical shape and physically fit.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
