**Job Purpose**:
To transport finished goods within the finished goods and dispatch warehouses using fork lift equipment safely and to the required quality standards. To also operate other warehouse machinery including palletising equipment where required.

**Shift Pattern**:
Continental shift pattern

**Dimensions**:
Working as part of the finished goods team reporting to the Finished Goods Team Leader, the role involves transportation of finished goods for external customers and operating equipment within all warehouses including Ambient & Chill. Manage the repack operation when required to ensure customer service levels are maintained.

Performance measures are determined by the ability to carry out duties listed below and by team performance measures determined by site and individual key performance indicators (KPI’s).

**Experience required**:
**Safety & Environment**
- Understand risks involved in their area of work, identify gaps within the risk assessments and informing there Team Leader where required.
- Challenges unsafe behaviour and practices of employees, contractors, drivers and peers including the incorrect wearing of PPE.
- Ensures that accidents and near misses are reported by themselves in the proper manner. Ensures immediate controls are implemented to prevent harm and investigates whether further measures are necessary to eliminate the possibility of a recurrence.
- Ensures defects or faults in equipment or machinery are reported immediately to the Finished Goods Team Leader.
- Understand the impact on the environment and what can be done to reduce this.
- Ensures working on and operating all machinery and equipment in the area to the required safety and operational standards.
- Identifies and reports any Safety or Environmental issues to the Warehouse Manager or Team Leader.
- Operates equipment and machinery to the highest standards ensuring machinery is only used once trained to the required standard.
- Follows safe systems of work including working at height, manual handling and lock off procedures.

**Quality**
- Ensures products/services are completed right first time and is proactive in dealing with issues that could prevent this.
- Assists in identifying the root cause of quality issues that arise.
- Adheres to 5S standards in their area of work.
- Ensure that all activities meet both internal and external regulatory requirements with respect to finished product quality, food hygiene, Good Manufacturing Practice and environmental impact. To ensure that the company’s policies and procedures are actively followed in these areas and are fully complied with.
- Actively promote high quality standards.
- Accurately complete all reporting and recording procedures applicable to designated tasks including checking warehouse documentation and inventory for accuracy.
- To liaise with Team Leaders or Despatch Controllers on collections, returns, damaged stock and quarantine issues.
- Communicate effectively relating to quarantines, damages and blocked stock to ensure customers receive quality product every time. This involves cross departmental communication and to logistics provider / hauliers.
- Ensure the warehouse area and any areas where duties are taking place is kept clean in accordance with the “clean as you go” policy.
- To accurately use SAP and WMS to locate and remove finished goods from storage racking.
- To carry out daily checks on equipment used e.g. FLT checks

**Cost**
- Continuously strives to improve work practices and identify more efficient ways of working.
- Ensures that wastage produced by the Warehouse team is kept to a minimum.
- Effectively achieve warehousing and distribution requirements against plan by ensuring finished goods are dispatched correctly.
- Effectively challenges and reports downtime whilst operating palletiser and associated equipment.
