£33,209 to £36,933 pa including allowance + Benefits package, training and development.
It’s a great opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter working in the Sussex Team.

Safety Culture, HV Transmission Substations are inherently hazardous environments, National Grid has extremely high safety standards that team members generally find comfortable working to.

You’ll generally be working in a team of 2 to 10 people and be involved with maintenance, refurbishment or replacement work on electricity substations covering BN, TN, RH, ME postcodes. This could be from single asset replacements such as circuit breakers and transformers to maintaining/repairing aging high speed on load tap changers or complex 400kV circuit breakers. We also work on all kinds of ancillary equipment, DC battery systems, air compressors, diesels etc.

**What you’ll need**
A minimum Level 3 Apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical engineering is required.
- A competitive salary from £31,654 to £35,378 per annum + Benefits Package.
- + Seasonal working allowance £1,555 per annum.
- 37 hours per week, Mon - Fri 8am - 4pm
- 25 days annual leave (increasing to 26 after two years’ service) plus eight statutory days
- The option to buy additional or sell holiday days.
