TE Connectivity's CNC Machinists prepare detailed numerical control programs for use in production on numerical controlled machinery; they run the EDM, including programming, setup and operation. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

**Location**: Hastings
**Title**:CNC Setter Operator - Milling or Turning
**Shift Pattern**:Swing Shift or Night Shifts available

Swing Shift Pattern (weeks alternate):

- Week 1: Mon to Fri 6am to 2pm
- Week 2: 2pm 10pm

Night Shift Pattern:

- Mon to Fri 11pm to 6am

**Responsibilities**
- Programme, set and operate CNC 3 to 4 Axis Milling or Turning Machines, inspecting your own work and recording the results to ensure the required quality is maintained.
- Ability to perform fast set-ups / change overs essential.
- Capable of taking drawing to part (read the drawing and make that part).
- Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing (4M’s; 5S’s etc.).
- Work effectively and resolve issues within a team environment.
- Complete accurately all necessary material movement paperwork (i.e. route cards, material traceability, program changes).
- Perform any additional operations necessary (including deburring) that are required to produce finished components.
- To set and operate manual machines as necessary.
- Involvement in continuous improvement activities / Lean processes.

**Requirements**:

- Time served apprentice with C&G/NVQ or equivalent in mechanical engineering discipline.
- Experience working on alternating early/late shifts with mínimal supervision.
- Experience programming, setting and operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC machine tools.
- Experience of Fanuc and Mazatrol machine tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using a range of measurement equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all TE policies and procedures, EHS and safety first together with delivering exception ECE.
- Driving and encouraging the values and key behaviours in all actions.
- Highest level of accuracy/attention to detail, to ensure standards of work are exemplary with mínimal defect.
- Organized and self-motivated to work with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and willingness to take on additional tasks and responsibility in an efficient manner.
- Excellent communication at all levels both internally within the business and with suppliers / customers.
- Fully flexible with tasks and the ability to multi-skill.
