Our Team in Irvine is looking for a calm, kind, caring, positive and organized individual to come and be our Nursery Cook.

This role is part-time, working Monday to Friday for 25 hours a week.

We will only recruit one cook, but you will be part of a small, friendly team of nursery teachers.

We are looking for someone who is interested in having input in menus, and having the full running of our kitchen.

A full job description is available on request but in summary, the role involves:

- To work as a Nursery cook, and run our kitchen, cooking for up to 59 children a day.
- To lead in the preparation of healthy meals and snacks in our homely nursery kitchen. This may involve input in reviewing menus and weekly ordering of food deliveries.
- To maintain kitchen record keeping
- meeting basic health and safety and safe food practices.
- To keep on top of stock and kitchen budgets.
- To spend time with children 0-5, carrying out cooking and baking activities alongside the teachers at times.
- To always safeguard and promote the welfare of children and to follow Nursery safeguarding policies and procedures
- To clean organise the kitchen and keep the kitchen up to professional standards,
- To lead in Food Hygiene inspections with the support of our managers.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £11.00-£11.50 per hour
