Reed Colchester Business Support are delighted to be recruiting for an amazing company in **Colchester** for a **Full-Time Assistant Editor role**.

**Job Specification**
- Researching, writing and editing news and feature blogs that are perfectly pitched for the audience and for SEO-performance, may support advertising, and can be adapted for print
- Daily news gathering and reporting, which is both industry-specific and audience-relevant
- Curating, editing and marketing additional reports, supplements and downloads
- Deputise for the Editor and represent the brand when needed, both internally and externally
- Attend and participate in shows and events, which may fall outside of usual office hours
- Work alongside the advertising team to create innovative, commercially-driven content, videos and brand campaigns that sit harmoniously within our editorial remit
- Provide support for Awards and other commercial ventures across the department
- Develop, grow and manage social media and online platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter to increase brand reach, traffic, engagement and data capture according to targets set
- Plan and direct photoshoots when applicable, sourcing products and styling
- Work with other related brands on print, online, promotional and commercial activity
- Arrange and conduct telephone, video and in-person meetings and interviews
- Build and nurture relationships with PRs, advertisers and other external contacts
- Source images to budget which are appropriate and appealing
- Oversee pages/content from start to finish, including signing off pages/content
- Provide design direction to the print studio and web design teams
- Represent the company in a professional manner at client meetings and at shows
- Perform other tasks delegated by the Group Editor and Editor to support the team and wider departments, when required
