**Junior Fees Clerk / Administrative Assistant**

**Salary: £9,750.00 - £18,525.00**

**Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm**

**Holidays: 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays**

**Benefits: Contributory pension Scheme, travel expenses if required to work at other locations.**

We have a vacancy for a Junior Fees Clerk / Administrative Assistant based in our new modern offices in Teesside.

This is a junior position and would suit a school or college leaver but applicants of all ages and experience will be welcomed.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team are essential and the job will primarily involve as follows.
- Assisting other more experienced staff and members of Chambers with general Administrative tasks.
- Assisting experienced Fees Clerks in compiling paperwork to bill legal aid matters.
- To bill legal aid family cases (after training) to assist when the other Fees Clerks are away.
- Scanning and inputting documents onto computer system.
- Saving documents and updating excel spreadsheets.
- Filing and other administrative tasks.
- Answering telephone calls and opening post.
- Greeting clients and members of Chambers.

During training and from time to time you will be required to attend our other offices in Newcastle and York. Travel expenses will be reimbursed for any travel required when working anywhere other than Teesside.
