**Apprentice Care Assistant Fairfield**

**Join our team as an Apprentice Care Assistant**

As an Apprentice Care Assistant, you will benefit from gaining work experience in a friendly and supportive environment and will receive generous hourly pay, success bonuses and excellent training towards a recognised vocational qualification. You will be supported in your learning throughout the apprenticeship by a personal coach.

To succeed as an Apprentice at One Housing, you’ll need to have good verbal and written communications skills and be able to demonstrate patience, compassion, and a caring attitude.

**The role**
Your apprenticeship will be completed over 15 - 18 months and will consist of on-the-job training as well as online or on-site training. Based at our Baycroft Great Fairfield nursing home.

**Location**:Baycroft Fairfield, Hitchin Road, Stotfold, SG5 4SW

**Your typical day will involve**:

- Providing social interaction to our customers and supporting them to continue with, or take up, new hobbies and activities.
- Helping customers with limited mobility and physical disabilities to access and enjoy all areas of their environment.
- Assisting trained nursing colleagues to provide specialist care for those residents who may be temporarily unwell.
- Ensuring the Nurse Call system is answered in a timely manner and assistance is provided where needed.
- Serving drinks, meals and snacks to residents and visitors and assisting any customers who require help with eating and drinking.

**Our offer**
- **Salary**: £8.80 per hour, rising to £9.68 per hour after 6 months and £11.00 per hour after 12 months.
- **Bonus**:£750 after 3 months and £500 upon completion of your apprenticeship.
- **Paid study time**: 20% of your hours are dedicated to personal study towards your qualification.
- **Qualification**: You will be awarded a Level 2 Adult Care Worker qualification on completion of your apprenticeship.
