OPTICAL ASSISTANT POSITION

**Why are we recruiting?**

As a busy practice we are looking to recruit a part time optical assistant to be part of our awesome team

**What does the role involve?**

We are looking for someone with previous optical experience as a dispensing assistant or optical assistant

We want patients to LOVE their glasses so you will be dispensing spectacles following good quality conversations with patients about their needs and wants, taking careful measurements, dealing with some high end frame ranges, and understanding NHS procedures

Customer service is of paramount importance to us and this means you will be known for being friendly, have a warm smile, like engaging with people and love delivering amazing service.

We are a busy multi-roomed practice, so you will need to be organised - often needing to juggle a number of tasks whilst remaining calm.

We are a helpful and supportive team and would want these qualities from you too

Confidence and competence using computers is an essential skill that you must have.

Previous experience with pre-screening is a bonus, but not essential as we can train you in this.

**Salary**: From £10.52 per hour
