We are looking for an ad hoc Assistant Cook for our Three Counties Hospice, Worcester, to provide cover for annual leave, sickness or busy times. When on duty, you’ll support the Cook in ensuring that all catering requirements for the hospice and associatedpremises are met and delivered in line with the highest of food quality, safety and hygiene standards.

**About the Role**

The postholder will be contacted as and when required, when staffing levels are low. If available for work, they will undertake direct cooking and serving of main meals including preparation of dining area. They will assist with the safe disposal or storageof food, support with catering-related cleaning and maintenance of kitchen and storage areas, equipment, crockery and cutlery.

You could be asked to provide cover over weekends.

**About You**

You will have previous experience of catering duties, including preparation, cooking and serving food. You’ll have good knowledge of nutrition, food hygiene and infection control procedures. You’ll be committed to high standards of cleanliness.

You will have a good standard of general education along with a Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate.
