**Workshop Foreman Overview**

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Supervision/management of the workshop staff to achieve productivity and quality finish.
- Ability to understand detailed drawings and relay this information to Workshop staff
- Monitor production quality and labour levels on a weekly basis and take any necessary corrective action
- Develop a close working relationship with all workshop staff to foster a good team spirit
- Set an example of loyalty, enthusiasm and hard work in the performance of all your duties
- Adhere to all quality control, quality assurance, health & safety, and environmental procedures on all projects.
- Communicate any problems to the Workshop Manager
- Flexible approach to overtime to satisfy customer requirements
- Operate relevant equipment in a safe manner.
- Ensure good housekeeping and manufacturing processes.
- Contribute to process improvements.
- Where appropriate, you will be expected to support colleagues as requested to cover holiday and sickness.
- Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are complied with at all times.
- Must have a pro-active and hands on approach and be prepared to get involved in all areas of the workshop operations.
- And any other duties required to support the achievement of the companys objectives.

**Qualifications, skills and requirements**
- 5 GCSE Grade C or above, including Maths and English
- Good understanding of job costing/productivity process
- Good leadership qualities
- Team player with good communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Good attention to detail
- Workshop machinery knowledge/experience

This role reports to the Workshop Manager

**Salary**: £17.00-£20.00 per hour
