**Company Description**
Turner & Townsend is a leading global consultancy across the real estate, infrastructure and natural resources sectors. We’re passionate about making the difference, transforming performance on the world’s most impactful programmes for a green, inclusive and productive world. That means delivering better outcomes for our clients, helping our people to realize their potential, and doing our part to create a prosperous society.
The Performance Forum, managed by Turner & Townsend, is a joint industry project of 23 leading energy companies. Over the past 30 years, the Performance Forum has developed best practice data collection and benchmarking methodologies for use on conventional energy capital portfolios. The sharing of outturn data has developed industry leading external benchmarks for cost and schedule of upstream facilities, considered ‘must have’ information for the members. Through study groups, webinars and workshops, it has enabled collaboration, lessons learned and industry improvement and as the oil and gas industry transitions to new energies and technologies, our scope is expanding to include clean energy and low carbon solutions.
As Associate Director, you will be focused on identifying emerging cost and schedule trends across all facility types, understanding drivers of project cost overruns, highlighting areas of risk, and providing independent benchmarking studies to our clients. You will support future growth and development of our service offering.
Typical responsibilities associated with this role will include, but are not limited to:
- Project management of consultancy work to ensure client objectives and delivery quality are achieved, within agreed time and budget.
- Prepare commercial and technical proposals for consulting studies, determining the appropriate scope of work, budget, resourcing and schedule.
- Undertake quality review and analysis of oil and gas project data submitted by clients to produce high quality benchmarking reports and metrics.
- Capable of establishing new relationships, whilst maintaining and developing existing relationships.
- Participate in industry events to network with existing and potential clients.
- Able to identify opportunities to develop business whilst managing any risk exposure.
- Prepare high quality technical and leadership articles for brand awareness and marketing purposes. Participate in interviews with journalists and publish articles via LinkedIn and other social platforms.
- Establish good working relationships with colleagues both within the Performance Forum global team and the wider Turner & Townsend organisation.
- Organise and participate in client meetings and workshops for clients in USA, Europe, Asia and Australia.
- Support knowledge sharing and mentoring of team members.
- Monitor business performance and adapt strategies to ensure delivery of key strategic objectives.
- Contribute to achieving a positive team culture.
**Qualifications**
- Relevant upstream experience gained in either an industry or research/consulting environment.
- Sound knowledge of upstream development concepts, production facilities and decommissioning.
- Experience in developing client relationships.
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
- Proven data handling capability (strong competency in MS Excel is essential, exposure to Tableau would be an advantage).
- Ability and drive to identify opportunities to improve data handling, analytical processes, and analysis outputs.
- Experienced with managing projects that are delivered on time and within budget.
- We are a small team so a collaborative approach to working is essential.
**Additional Information**
Our inspired people share our vision and mission. We provide a great place to work, where each person has the opportunity and voice to affect change.
We want our people to succeed both in work and life. To support this we promote a healthy, productive and flexible working environment that respects work-life balance.
